How we are re-engineering consumer intelligence

Consumer markets don't wait. Shopper behavior shifts by the week, competitive landscapes turn overnight, and opportunities can open and close before most companies even notice. To stay ahead, brands don't just need trusted consumer intelligence — they need it while there's still time to act on it.

As our solutions continue to evolve, so have our clients' expectations. Businesses want timely access to trusted insights, greater flexibility in how they explore data, and technology that moves at the speed of the markets they’re competing in. That's why we're transforming how brands access and experience consumer intelligence — from data collection and processing to delivery and discovery — investing across every stage of the insight lifecycle to make insights easier to reach, easier to explore, and more valuable the moment they land.

Faster insights, when they matter most

One of the clearest proof points is our global automated reporting: a report that used to take 12 days to reach clients after a reporting period closed can now arrive in 1 day. In practice, that means brands get business-critical insight while it's still actionable, not just interesting.

Achieving this required more than simply speeding up reporting. We’re building a common technology and data foundation for our consumer intelligence platform (MyWorldpanel), standardizing how information is structured, processed, and governed, as markets progressively move onto the shared model. Where this foundation is in place, it allows us to process data more efficiently, deliver insights faster, and keep building on the same base instead of starting over market by market. And we're continuing to push that timeline even further — giving brands even more time to respond to changing markets, evaluate performance, and act on emerging opportunities.

From data at scale to data anyone can use

But speed is only part of the story. As Worldpanel expanded across more than 30 markets — largely through acquisition — each one brought its own tools, data structures, and ways of working. Bringing that much data together into one experience client teams could use directly wasn't a small technical problem. It meant building a foundation that could handle real scale from the ground up. The result is a self-service experience that allows our teams to navigate, select, and assemble the data much more efficiently, supporting faster delivery and greater flexibility in meeting client needs.

As more markets move onto this connected foundation, we're also unlocking richer datasets and more consistent insight across markets — giving brands a fuller, more connected view of consumer behavior, and giving teams a foundation they can build on repeatedly instead of recreating market by market.

Building the platform for AI-Powered innovation

The gains in speed and efficiency are already becoming visible in the business, and they are just the beginning. As the shared, standardized foundation expands through MyWorldpanel, every new capability makes the next one faster to build — reducing manual work behind the scenes, standardizing how data is managed, and shortening the distance between an idea and a feature clients can use.

Looking ahead, that same foundation is designed to make our next generation of AI-powered experiences possible — from AI-assisted discovery to intelligent agents that can answer business questions, surface relevant insights, and proactively flag opportunities. This is the direction we’re now building toward: going beyond helping clients find answers faster to helping the right insights find them — anticipating business needs and surfacing what matters most before clients know which question to ask.

As Henry Swann, Director of Product Management at Worldpanel by Numerator, puts it:

"Where we're heading is a place where the most relevant insights are in front of clients before they've even asked the question. That's the future we're building toward."

This is bigger than faster reporting or a modernized data stack. It's about making sure the way brands experience consumer intelligence keeps pace with the consumers they're trying to understand — from the speed and accessibility of today's insights to the more intuitive, proactive discovery experiences still ahead.

Because transforming consumer intelligence was never really about delivering more data. It's about delivering the right insight, to the right person, at the moment it can still change a decision.
